Stealth Cues, a leader in the design and manufacture of precision, top-of-the line pool cues, is living up to its name with some stealthy, behind-the-scenes plans for some big announcements coming up early in 2017.
Owner and elite designer Mark Stoller said that after 25 years of pushing the envelope with Stealth’s innovative designs, he’s ready to unleash some spectacular new products in the coming weeks.
“I promised myself that when the first 25 years were up that I would evaluate and shake it up for the next 25 years,” Stoller said.
Stoller’s designs are so precise that manufacturing technology is only just now catching up with precision tools to make the beautiful pool sticks to Stealth Cues exacting specifications. The new phase of Stealth Cues is called “Beyond the Imagination” and will focus on new colors, designs and styles of cue sticks as well as design-driven cue racks.
“We want designer racks that will work in billiards halls or in a home,” Stoller said. “They will be beautiful and functional with an interior designer look.”
Stoller said organizations such as the American Poolplayers Associations are seeing more people joining their pool leagues, especially youth. Also, more families are abandoning electronics in favor of activity-based outings such as playing pool together.
“I think the cue industry in 2017 is on the rebound and that increasingly people are getting out of the house, taking a break from the electronics and video games,” Stoller said. “We’re seeing more league and family traffic in the industry.”
Also, shooting pool is being discovered by a new generation in other ways. For example, he said a geometry teach uses a pool table – set up in the middle of his classroom – to teach about angles and vectors.
To celebrate Stealth Cues and the joy of playing pool, Stealth Cues will be sponsoring an evening of pool play and demonstrating Stealth Cues. The event is being scheduled for mid-December and we will share more both here and on social media as soon as the details are confirmed.
